FAQ

Our NGO was registered and started operating in 2018 in Kramatorsk. Initially, we focused on supporting sport and amateur fishing, organising numerous festivals and competitions. However, the challenges of the region and time affected us, ideological fishermen who have always cared about others. We started implementing humanitarian projects, overcoming gender inequality and spreading the idea of responsible fatherhood in Donetsk region. Now we are present in 15 regions of Ukraine and actively provide psychosocial support and other services. There are even those in our ranks who have never held a fishing rod, but we are quickly changing that!

Our staff is only growing, and the same fishermen who were at the beginning of our activities are now involved in our projects and the organisation as a whole according to their professional competencies, some of the ideological fishermen are now represented on the NGO’s Board, and they help us stay on the course that we have jointly built.

Since the outbreak of full-scale military operations in Ukraine, our NGO has been forced to partially reformat its activities and start coordinating evacuation and humanitarian assistance in eastern Ukraine. We quickly began to grow institutionally and expand our activities to other regions and accumulate resources to help those affected by the hostilities. Currently, our humanitarian activities are slightly different from that coordination function, but we continue to engage both international and local partners to support people.
-
Yes, we are partners of UNOCHA clusters and coordinate our work in accordance with international requirements and the quality of humanitarian services. We are also actively involved in discussions on humanitarian response and convey the actual needs of Ukrainians affected by the hostilities, which is very important to ensure that people really need help.
